Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to The Face Space ("we," "us," or "our"), a corrective skincare and laser treatment studio located in Albany, New York. By booking an appointment, visiting our studio, purchasing products or services, or using our website at thefacespaceco.com, you ("Client" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.

If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from booking appointments or using our services. Your continued use of our services following any updates to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised version.

02 Services Offered

The Face Space provides professional aesthetics services including, but not limited to:

• Laser hair removal and other laser-based treatments

• Corrective skincare facials and skin treatments

• Spray tanning

• Eyebrow shaping and related brow services

• Permanent makeup (microblading, lip blushing, etc.)

• Retail skincare products

All services are performed by trained and licensed aesthetics professionals. Treatment outcomes vary based on individual skin type, health history, lifestyle, and adherence to post-care instructions. We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or update our service menu at any time without prior notice.

03 Appointments & Cancellations

Appointments are required for all services and can be booked online through our booking portal or by contacting the studio directly. A valid credit card or deposit may be required to secure your appointment.

Cancellation Policy: We kindly ask that you provide at least [X hours / days] notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made within this window may be subject to a fee of up to [$ or %] of the service price.

No-Shows: Clients who do not show up for a scheduled appointment without notice may be charged a no-show fee and/or required to prepay for future bookings.

Late Arrivals: If you arrive more than [X] minutes late, we may need to shorten or reschedule your service to respect the time of other clients. The full service fee may still apply.

04 Health & Safety

Your safety is our highest priority. Prior to receiving services, all clients are required to complete a health intake form disclosing relevant medical history, skin conditions, allergies, medications, and contraindications.

You agree to inform The Face Space of any changes to your health status before each appointment. Certain conditions, medications (such as retinoids or photosensitizing drugs), pregnancy, or recent procedures may contraindicate specific treatments. We reserve the right to refuse or modify a service if we determine it may pose a risk to your health or safety.

• Clients must disclose all known allergies and sensitivities before services begin

• Laser treatments require a thorough skin assessment and may require a patch test

• Permanent makeup procedures involve specific pre- and post-care requirements that must be followed

• Sun exposure guidelines must be followed before and after laser and skin treatments

By proceeding with a service, you confirm that all information provided on your intake form is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.

05 Payments & Refunds

Payment is due in full at the time of service unless otherwise arranged in advance. We accept [list accepted payment methods, e.g., cash, all major credit/debit cards, Venmo, etc.]. Gift cards are redeemable for services and retail products and are non-refundable and non-transferable for cash.

Packages & Series: Prepaid service packages are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise stated. Unused sessions do not expire unless a specific expiration date is noted at the time of purchase.

Retail Products: All retail product sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges on opened skincare products due to health and hygiene regulations. If a product is defective or damaged upon receipt, please contact us within [X] days of purchase.

Service Refunds: Due to the nature of aesthetic services, we do not offer refunds on completed treatments. If you have concerns about your service, please contact us within [X] days and we will work with you to address the situation appropriately.

06 Results & Limitation of Liability

Aesthetic treatment results vary widely between individuals based on factors including skin type, tone, age, hormones, lifestyle, sun exposure, and adherence to home care and post-treatment protocols. The Face Space makes no guarantees regarding specific outcomes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Face Space, its owners, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

• The use or inability to use our services

• Adverse reactions where accurate health history was not disclosed

• Failure to follow pre- or post-care instructions

• Individual skin or health responses to treatments

• Loss or damage to personal property on studio premises

By booking services with The Face Space, you acknowledge these limitations and agree to hold us harmless from any claims arising from your service experience.

07 Client Conduct

We are committed to providing a welcoming, professional, and respectful environment for all clients and staff. The Face Space reserves the right to refuse service to any individual who:

• Engages in disrespectful, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior toward staff or other clients

• Fails to disclose relevant health information or provides false information on intake forms

• Has unpaid balances or outstanding cancellation fees

• Violates any terms outlined in this agreement

We do not tolerate harassment of any kind. Any client found engaging in harassment will be asked to leave and may be permanently banned from future bookings.

08 Privacy & Data

The Face Space collects and stores client information — including contact details, health intake forms, and booking history — solely for the purpose of providing and improving our services. Your information is kept confidential and is not sold or shared with third parties except as required by law or as necessary to provide your services (e.g., booking software providers).

By using our website or booking system, you consent to the collection of basic personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Our website may use cookies to improve your browsing experience. You may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

09 Photography & Media

With your written or verbal consent, The Face Space may take before-and-after photographs for the purposes of tracking your treatment progress and/or for use in marketing materials, including social media and our website.

You have the right to decline photography at any time without affecting the quality of your service. If you have previously consented and wish to have images removed, please contact us in writing and we will honor your request promptly.

Clients are welcome to photograph their results for personal use. We love when you tag us when sharing on social media — it means the world to us!

10 Minors

Clients under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present at the time of service and must have written parental consent on file before any treatment may be performed. Some services may not be available to minors regardless of parental consent, at the sole discretion of our team.

Our website and booking platform are not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

11 Changes to These Terms

The Face Space reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of our services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of Albany County, New York.
